Rigid plastic is sold mainly in sheets. Self-adhesive rigid plastic is made from 250µm thick PVC film, that does not contain plasticizers, cadmium or lead stabilizers. It is significantly stiffer and thicker than normal book covering film.
Self-adhesive rigid plastic is used to reinforce the covers of soft-cover publications, such as paperbacks and magazines, as well as school notebooks and books. Rigid plastic significantly increases the durability of products and gives soft-cover products stability.
The backing material is siliconized white HDPE film. The adhesive is a water-based acrylic permanent adhesive. It does not contain heavy metals.
